Get my instant estimateThis east North York neighbourhood is a quieter alternative to Don Mills next door.
Parkwoods-Donalda suits buyers who want Don Mills’ location at a slightly lower price, and downsizers who like a one-level layout on a quiet street. Homes backing onto ravines carry a premium, so compare carefully.
Parkwoods was built largely in the late 1950s and 1960s, with brick bungalows, sidesplits and backsplits on good-sized suburban lots, plus townhouses and towers along the main roads. Many homes are well-kept originals, popular with families stepping up from a condo or townhouse.
Yes. The private Donalda Club golf course sits in the East Don valley in the southern part of the area, giving nearby streets a green backdrop. Public trails along the Don valley are close by, and the ravine setting is a shared draw with Banbury-Don Mills to the west.
Highway 401 and the Don Valley Parkway border the area, so driving is quick in most directions. Buses along Lawrence, York Mills and Don Mills connect to Line 1, Line 4 and the Line 5 Eglinton Crosstown, giving several subway options depending on where you work.
Victoria Village to the south tends to have more modest 1950s bungalows, while Parkwoods-Donalda’s houses and lots are often a little larger and newer. Both offer ravine access and quick DVP links. Check recent sold prices in both before deciding which fits your budget.
