O’Connor-Parkview Bungalows For Sale

East York bungalows along O’Connor Drive, near Eglinton Square and the Taylor Creek ravine.

East York’s bungalow belt

O’Connor-Parkview stretches along O’Connor Drive from the Don Valley east to Victoria Park. Its side streets are lined with 1940s and 50s bungalows and storey-and-a-halfs, the classic East York housing that drew young families after the war.

Taylor Creek Park runs along the south side with long ravine trails, and Eglinton Square and the Crosstown line are a short trip north.

Your O’Connor-Parkview questions

How close is the subway?

Woodbine and Main Street stations on Line 2 are a short bus ride south, and the Eglinton Crosstown runs to the north. If the location suits you, also check listings in neighbouring Victoria Village.

When were most O’Connor-Parkview homes built?

Most date from the 1940s to the 1960s, with brick bungalows, storey-and-a-half houses and some sidesplits, often on lots larger than those closer to the Danforth. The Parkview Hills pocket has winding streets near the Taylor Creek ravine and a quieter, tucked-away feel.

What shopping is along O’Connor Drive?

O’Connor Drive has a string of local shops, restaurants and services, and Eglinton Square at Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue is a short drive north-east. Neighbouring Victoria Village adds more plazas along Victoria Park Avenue.

Can I add a lower-level unit to an O’Connor-Parkview bungalow?

Toronto permits secondary suites in most detached homes, and many bungalows here have basements that can work with the right ceiling height, egress and fire separation. Confirm with the city’s building department and read about legal basement units before buying with rental income in mind, as owners in Woodbine-Lumsden do.
